3D Concrete House Printing
AMCRETE is the first company in New Zealand that can print a whole house (up to 2 storeys high) in a single pass.
Our Gantry concrete 3D printer has a max working area of 17m x 11m x 7m high, allowing us to print a whole house in the following configurations:
• 1-storey house of approximately 180m2, or a
• 2-storey house of approximately 360m2
Both types of 3D printed houses can be built in a single pass. Aside from being quick and easy, this construction method creates solid, continuous walls and eliminates construction joints. The result is our 3D printed houses are sturdy, properly sealed and energy-efficient.
Our Approach to 3D Printing Concrete Houses
Our approach to 3D printing a house with concrete consists of the following steps:
- We print the slab outline, exterior and interior walls.
- If the property is 2-storey, then we construct the mid-floor and roof structure, and then lay the roof and fit the windows.
- Arrange for the installation of essential utilities such as electricity, plumbing, climate control and more.
- Insulate the 3D concrete house.
- Install gib to the ceilings. The walls are printed and don’t require linings.
- Paint the interior and exterior walls.
- Fit out the bathrooms and kitchens.
- Install the floor coverings.
- You can move in and enjoy your new 3D concrete home!
